How it works

1

Upload your PDF

Open a scanned, selectable-text or mixed PDF and inspect its page count.

2

Analyze each page

Usable embedded text is extracted directly; only pages without it are prepared for OCR.

3

Recognize and combine

Scanned pages are processed sequentially and all page text is combined in order.

02

Why use OneTools

Smart hybrid processing

Pages with selectable text avoid unnecessary OCR requests.

Scanned-page recognition

Missing-text pages are rendered clearly and sent through the existing OneTools OCR service.

Partial result support

A failed page does not discard successfully extracted or recognized pages.

Frequently asked questions

How is OCR PDF different from PDF to Text?

PDF to Text reads existing selectable text entirely in your browser. OCR PDF also recognizes scanned pages that do not contain usable embedded text.

Is every page sent for OCR?

No. Pages with usable selectable text are extracted locally and are not sent to OCR.

Does OCR PDF guarantee perfect recognition?

No. Accuracy depends on scan clarity, resolution, language and document layout.

What happens if one page fails?

Processing continues and the result reports pages whose text could not be recognized.
